Hull

P1 SuperStock and AquaX returns to Hull this summer, for the third round of the 2015 Championships. This will be the fifth successive year that the P1 fleet of powerboats and jet skis has raced on the Humber, and the Hull Grand Prix of the Sea will be a double bill of fast, furious and free-to-watch racing over the weekend of 8th/9th August. The race location in Hull offers some of the best viewing for fans and with the backdrop of the Humber Bridge - together with great on-shore facilities, an easily accessible top-class marina and outstanding local support - it’s a venue that P1 and all of the racers enjoy visiting each year. The strong current in the Humber always brings an extra challenge to the racing.

Over the years, P1’s legion of supporters have lined up along the marina to cheer on their favourite powerboat racers and jet ski riders as they battle it out for valuable points. Right from the word go P1 was made to feel very welcome on Humberside and the city has the perfect mix of infrastructure and services needed for staging a P1 event. Today, the Hull Grand Prix of the Sea has become a regular fixture on the P1 calendar and the series has developed a really strong following.

P1’s activities start on Friday with the teams arriving and technical checks taking place on the boats and skis. And then it’s time to race, with the on-the-water action getting underway around midday on both days to serve up a feast of P1 AquaX and P1 SuperStock racing all afternoon, culminating in the podium ceremony on Sunday afternoon.

Aside from the action on The Humber, Hull has plenty for our fans to enjoy. If you need a change from the fast and furious action, the retro Fruit Market area hosts many attractions, including many art galleries, quirky shops, several restaurants, The Museum of Club Culture and Dinostar!

This years Hull Grand Prix of the Sea is going to be immense, the whole town has got behind the event and it looks set to explode into a festival headline event.

Be sure to storm Hull on August, 8-9! Don’t miss out on all the action!
