P1 at UIM General Assembly

Powerboat P1 is attending the 90th UIM General Assembly being held in the picturesque coastal resort of Budva in Montenegro.

Hosted by the country’s powerboating federation, the general assembly sees powerboating representatives from more than 50 national authorities, racing promoters, safety and environmental consultants gather to review the 2017 season, update rule books, elect new committee members and set the calendar for 2018.

P1 is represented by managing director, Robert Wicks, who is a member of the COMINOFF Committee. Meetings take place across the week, with an Open Forum on Saturday and the General Assembly itself taking place on Sunday.

“2017 has been a very significant year for P1, with our inaugural World Championship event staged in India, comprehensive national racing programmes in both the USA and UK, a significant review of the rule book and the introduction of Mercury engines for the P1 SuperStock fleet,” said Wicks.
