Throwback Thursday: SuperStock debuts in the US

SuperStock has grown from strength to strength in the United States with the recently-finished 2017 competition being one of our best ever and showed how far the series has come since its unveiling in 2011.

Madison, Wisconsin was the host venue for the first race of what kicked off P1 SuperStock’s illustrious story and it didn’t disappoint as the five-boat field battled it out to etch their names in the history books as debut winners.

Just two seconds separated the leading pair with race success coming down to the final stretch between Miss Madison and Oregon Custom Marine.

The team of Randy Schleuss and Azam Ali in Miss Madison came out victorious to take maximum points and give them an early lead in the championship standings.

Jorge De-Arellano and John Hansen in the Oregon Custom Marine Panther was followed over the line by JD Byrider driven by Mark and Cody Kowalski.

Completing the field was Peters & May in fourth collecting 14 points and one place nad one point further back was K-Way.

With the solitary race in Madison and a highly successful first SuperStock event completed, all eyes shifted to the next round of the four-stage series where the new Panthers would race around the shores of Detroit.
