P1 USA names Suncoast Charities for Children Official Charity

Powerboat P1 will be teaming up with Suncoast Charities for Children this year.

Suncoast Charities for Children is no stranger to P1, having worked together on the Sarasota Powerboat Grand Prix Festival, which is now in its 32nd year.

The charity supports the Suncoast Foundation for Handicapped Children, who provide and maintain facilities for special needs children, as well as teens, adults and their families.

Lucy Nicandri, Executive Director of Suncoast Charities for Children, said: “On behalf of myself, and our Board of Directors, I am delighted that Powerboat P1 USA has selected Suncoast Charities for Children as their official "Charity of the Year Partner" for the 2016 race season.

“The exposure Powerboat P1 USA is providing Suncoast Charities for Children through this partnership is very exciting! It will continue to help us build our brand and increase awareness on the impact we have made, and continue to make, on those with special needs.”

Lucy added: “Suncoast Charities for Children has been the driving force behind the Sarasota Powerboat Grand Prix Festival for many years now, and this partnership with Powerboat P1 USA can only garner increased support, enabling us to expand, grow, and continue as one of the best racing venues in the United States."

Being involved in large-scale events enables Suncoast to get the funding they need to provide facilities and support for as many clients as possible – they were able to help 8,000 in 2015.

P1 looks forward to working with them this year, and supporting them in their valuable work with children.
