In 2012, Daisy was introduced to Mission Motorsport on an open day where she had her first taste of powerboating and got offered an opportunity to train. In her debut race, she finished 3rd on the podium.
Since then, she has performed consistently well alongside the now-retired John Wilson in the Pertemps Network boat, building a formidable partnership. Excelling in choppy conditions, the pair have shown strong character and intelligence throughout the last year, taking the championship all the way down to the wire in 2015. Her calm and collective demeanour during intense racing makes her a top quality navigator and an invaluable crew member.
In 2016, brother and former team manager Sam Coleman jumped into the driver seat to replace the legendary John Wilson. They proved to be the perfect brother-sister pairing by notching up an impressive points tally that saw them finish in the top three at every round to land the title in comprehensive fashion.
They then headed to India as part of the Baleno RS Boosterjets team at the inaugural P1 SuperStock World Championships where they took three wins from three to be crowned world champions.
They are undoubtedly the team to beat once again in 2017!
Daisy: "The thrill of racing on water is unlike any other. A rally driver can walk the course before hand, revise the camber of a turn on decide what line he's going to take. We don't have that luxury as our course is ever changing. You need to be quick to react to the waves and of course the other boats. That's what makes it so exciting."
